And a very nice reading of the Gypsy Fantasy by Schwieger and the Kansas City SO.Alongside it in the photo is my venerable copy of Varviso's outing with the Suisse Romande. First heard it circa 1969 when I lived in Pacifica and tuned my MR67 into KKHI about a minute into the ballet. Sat mesmerized through the whole performance. Didn't know what it was, though in places it sounded like Prokofiev. When it ended, Keith Lockhart identified it as "The Stone Flower", and I knew what my next LP purchase would have to be.
