Wow! I'm amazed - I remember seeing a listing of that original Urania release. . .

. . . when I was a kid. I had bought some other Urania albums from that vintage (East German performances of the Liszt symphonic poems - I think Arthur Rother was one of the conductors), which were completely dullsville in both performance and engineering. I just assumed (wrongly, I guess) that the Schwieger/KCPO Prokofiev album would be similar and I never did investigate it.
