"Often?" Is that the "accurate" count based on memory? But yes we DO have objective measures for accuracy of a number of elements in audio reproduction. And in those cases we can actually properly use the word "accuracy" to describe those measures because there is a single reference, the source signal and an objective set of measures by which we can judge any derivative signal against the source signal.
