Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

Chris said it better than I

"To the microphone (and to each of our ears also!), the "3-dimensional wave" (as you call it) appears as a single composite. From these composites, our two ears (and our brain!) are able to experience depth and directionality. To get the all dimensions back (via recorded playback), we need to record in stereo..."

Do you understand that whatever sound there is appears as a single composite to each ear and whatever sound there is appears as a single composite to each of the two capsules of a stereo microphone?

I may have misunderstood you but I didn't get that you did by what your posted.
