Aside from the fact that the air pressure is changing differently according the the direction one measures. Sound waves are directional as are microphones as are our ears. Aside from that the 3 dimensional acoustic sound wave does not only exist at the single point of a microphone. So the original 3 dimensional wave form that exists in the original space dies in that space and is not and can not be accurately reproduced by any signal feed from microphones in that space.
