McGurck effect is about "accurate" representation of sound, perception of which might be influenced by listener visual sensors.
But it still needs "accurate" representation, otherwise we could say that McGurck experiment is not valid. And this effect can be easily eliminated by closing your eyes, and that's quite the case when listening classical music.
So, the whole debate about "accuracy" vs "euphony" is discussion about apples vs oranges.
