As mentioned, I'm not such an over-the-top vinyl fanboy that I can't admit that there are other issues with vinyl: finding good copies of the rare stuff, nothing available past '88, being frustrated by the horrible quality of recent "audiophile" pressings, selling for $30 a pop, and wanting to support living musicians.

All that said, yes: I still give vinyl the edge, not for "euphony", a specious, tired description that makes me bristle a bit, but rather for the positive attributes I mentioned above.
