Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

RE: What recordings do you use to check things out when a new component enters your audio system?

No sonic spectaculars, at least not on a technical level. One recording I use a lot is the Lyrita CD of Moeran's Sinfonietta and Symphony (Boult). Not technically one of their best: there's not much low bass. and there's even what sounds like some tape deterioration But I'm very familiar with the recording, and it's more representative of the sort of recordings I'm going to be listening to anyway.
