Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

Just to fill in a bit...what does "woke" have to do with this?...

The author of the article is making a lame attempt at examining Brahms in light of Dogen, the ancient Japanese philosopher and Buddhist monk whose writings pre-sage the more modern concepts of anti-realism and what is termed "nothingness" -- essentially negating the actual existence of Brahms as a person and individual. I'll side with the "sketchy bullshit" of that effort as called out by others in this thread.

"Woke" is more a social and cultural concept aimed at rejecting traditional historical assumptions and biases. Yes, classical music is under attack as a result, but this is not that.

I admire your spirit, though!:-)
