I've been intrigued by the short discussion on about Bruckner 7 below. I have to note that my entry drug for Bruckner was a bit unexpected Bruckner 6.
So what Bruckner 7th carries the day? I listened to Haitink last night, and despite the (perhaps) lack of excitement, felt it hung together very well. I think Celi for tonight, and Karajan Vienna over the weekend. I have Wand around I'm sure.
The question - does the last movement integrate with the rest?
More comments next week.
One comment - multiple Bruckner rounds are tiring even for a Brucknerite like me, so my comments may be slower than advertised.

- Speaking of Szell, his 3rd with the Cleveland is a stunner, he uses my preferred version of the 4th mov't too. - jdaniel@jps.net 09:54:41 10/30/21 (0)
- Can't discuss Bruckner. Too many hard consonants in his name; will cause boys to become violent - jdaniel@jps.net 15:29:57 10/29/21 (0)
