and the risk of being no fun at your party. how do you rationalize the idea that you have insight into musical scores that elude so many brilliant pianists who quite literally have dedicated their lives to their art?
It's one thing to not get someone elses interpretation. It one thing to not agree with someone's interpretation. It's even one thing to believe that an artist is being neglectful or even disrespectful of a given composition. I will even grant you that there may very well be a few pianists who have played certain repertoire that you may very well have a better understanding of than them. Which would be the exception not the rule.
But you claim to have a better understanding than "all but a few" world class pianists of the final movement of Chopin's 1st piano concerto. How do you defend *that?* Do you not see the difference?
