Home Cable Asylum

Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

I agree , but.........

I had the same reaction to the performance of the Silver Audio Hyacinths. I used them faithfully for a year or so when I started seeing posts on this forum from Luminous Audio Synchestra Signature owners who were astounded with their IC performance. When it came out that Bob Crump designed the Synchestra Sig for Luminous, I took a chance and tried a used pair on my CD player. It was a component grade improvement. Its hard to describe, but there was more of everything. Last year, I ordered a pair of Bob's speaker cables, and he included a pair of his TG Audio HiPurity ICs for me to try. I did not want to like them since they were twice as expensive as the Luminous at $800/mtr. Bob knows wire. From the first cut, I was hooked again. I got that component grade, "WOW" type quality increase. Smoother, wider more 3D soundstage and more detail, but not distracting. On the right CD or LP, you can hear the room it was recorded in. I did not send them back
I also have not sold my Silver Audio Hyacinths. I use them in my HT/remote system, and in my new office system(Rotel 971 integrated and CDP w/ Von Schweikert VR-1s). Damn good wires.
