I think you need to switch to TG Audio cables. My cat has never showed the least interest in eating my TG Audio cables. If you have Vahalla ICs, you might check out the review of the TG Audio Hi Purity IC by a former Valhalla user.
The only other ICs in my system are Luminous Audio Synchestra Signatures. They were designed by the TG Audio guy as well. The TG Audio guy is a cat lover, and must do something to his wires to make them unapetizing to cats.
By the way, my cat is your normal cat, i.e. part goat. He eats most anything laying around. plastic plants, string , ribbon, you name it. And most comes out the other end whole. Nothing upsets my cat more than about 8 to 12 inches of ribbon hanging out of his ass.
