I'm considering making my own powercord from some high quality stranded silver wire either 22AWG or 24AWG. I intend to use 2 or 3 runs per pole (a 3 conductor grounded p/c) for a total of 6 or 9 total wires per cord. I would like the final cord to be equivalent to a 12AWG powercord with approx. 25A current capability but am not sure what the cumulative result will be by using multiple runs. I would appreciate any help/feedback on this.
