Are some ICs better matched to tube or solid state systems? Since some ICs are described as "accurate and detailed" (Nordest) while others are described as "rich and full" (i.e. Cardas), is it correct to assume that an "accurate" sounding IC is a better match with tubes, while a "rich" might be better matched to solid state? After 10 years, I am upgrading the cabling in my system. Currently using Monster Interlink 4 and Livewire LSI. My system consists of Analog source (Sota / Alphason Xenon / AQ 404), Sony DVP-9000 ES, Counterpoint SA-5.1 preamp. Counteroint SA-20 power amp, Alon II speakers.
