Re: DIY cable for long IC runs?

As far as shielding, on any DIY cables you go with, you can add low-frequency shielding easily by threading the cable through a copper-braid shield (from mouser, diycable.com, etc.) and connecting the shield to the ground of one RCA only (probably the amp-end, but try it both ways.).

I've never tried any diy recipes that don't require braiding, twisting, but I think that Jon Risch had such a recipe on his website.
