No problem Mike, we all have our preferred methods of extracting performance out of our systems. I didn't set out to explore power cords on purpose. I simply happened across a design that made a profound difference in my components sound quality(back then it was the MapleShade AC). That experience peaked my interest in the effect AC condition had on sound. I've been an AC expolorer ever since...PLC's, PC's, High grade outlets etc. Though certainly not to the exclusion of the variables you mention, such as room and speakers, all those variables are important. And so is AC quality. Of course, until you have a listening experience with a HP AC cord you will find that hard to believe.I've heard terrific things about TG Audio cords. They're affordable, easy to access and their maker frequents these boards. AC cords are not complicated to audition, so if you ever decide to try a couple they'll be right there for the eval. Then we can have a substantive discussion about why some designs can make such profound musical dfference in our respective systems
