I'm with Mike on this one. Buy what you need with a little slack for future relocation and be done with it. If you have to use a long run, make sure that the cable will EASILY handle the current required to run the device at full draw.Depending on the design of the power cord, it could be high in capacitance or inductance. Either of these can act as a filter in some way. Unless really radically designed and massively high in either capacitance or inductance per foot, i really can't see a few feet making ANY difference under normal conditions. Sean
