Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

Re: Silver Cables

I have had good success with enamel coated silver (solid core) cable for interconnects. I found the bass to be more articulate than with stranded silver with polyethylene dielectric. However, the stranded cable sounded bettter as speaker cable. I have had this repeated in several systems, but not enough different variations of systems to come to any decisive conclusions. The silver in solid form seems to take a lot longer to break in and also seeems to sound bright if it is moved at all. Then it takes a good 24 hours to sound relaxed again. The stranded is not that fragile with regard to movement. This is of course subjective observation. Jallen
