PIXELIZATION TORTURE! Dark lit scenes with many gradations of grays are the worst. Look at the "tunnel" scenes on "Being John Malkovich" and in "Deliverance" the night scene where Jon Voight climbs the cliff on digital cable and you will go nuts. The over-kill compression used for digital broadcasts is exploitive. They have to make so much room for a zillion pay-per-view channels, broadband internet, and God knows what else, that the "promise of new technology" to bring better quality is compromised and emplimented only for profit gains. The picture is WORSE on digital movie channels vs. "old fashioned" analog! I'm so fed up with that “CD Qualityâ€, “Digital Readyâ€, kind of rip-off...
