"It seems that video is less revealing than audio when it comes to cables."Well, that depends, on the source, the display, and the cables. Sometimes, the differences can be rather dramatic. I have found silver to make the most improvements for video. But these improvements are most visible on high resolution sources and display devices.
Also, if your running the signal through a receiver without broadcast quality video, that will affect the picture quality.
