Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

Where is "gas-free" connection important?

At the crimp/solder end of spade or where the spade contacts the post?
If it's important at the contact end I can't imagine a solid spade connection at the post ever being gas free. Unless the surfaces of the spade and post are machined specifically to match each other, imperfections of casting will never allow a very good contact. A somewhat flexible spade that can conform to the post surface area when tightened would help though.

If any spade/post manufacturers are listening machined matched sets of spades and posts would sell like hotcakes.
