I did not read the story beyond the first few paragraphs. I have not
the time, inclination, money, or ear memory for such a comparo. The
author of the piece must have all the above. And his conclusions do not
really matter anyway, because there are a lot of cords he did not review,
and any of them may be way better than the ones he did. There's no way to
know. And he doesn't have my ears, or my system, or the same electrical
setup as I do, or the same electricity provider, etc., etc., etc. What
works well in an old house in Peoria or a high rise apartment in NYC might
now work very well in a suburban tract house in Tucson, AZ.
Find something that sounds good/works well for you and be happy. Get
off, or don't ever get on, the cable merry-go-round. Listen to music,
not equipment.
