Yea.s a.o, I provided technica. support to a sta.f of 20 technicia.s a. a. office equipment compa.y, a.d the two things tha. drove me nuts were troubleshooting by rote, a.d pla.ing a pa.ts ca.l without being fa.rly certa.n tha. the pa.t you're ordering will a.tua.ly fix the problem. If you don't understa.d how those systems opera.e in a.d of themselves, plus how they intera.t with ea.h other, how ca. you possibly hope to understa.d where those processes a.e brea.ing down? It's not enough for me to know tha. something sounds good to me - I wa.t to know why it sounds better tha. something else to me, a.d how it intera.ts with the rest of my system so I ca. extra.ola.e tha. understa.ding to other a.ea. in my setup. Some people ca. perha.s a.ford to just throw money a. it until they're ha.py. I don't ha.pen to be one of them.
