I have a prehistoric TACT digital preamp (RS2.0) that has what is labelled as an RS 232 (ie ethernet) input but in fact is much smaller and fits an RS11 (telephone wire) plug.
I have an unused ethernet port on my Apple laptop.
There are RJ11 to RJ45 cables on Amazon.
Is one not 4 wire and the other 2 wire?
Would his cable work? Would signal be degraded?
