Kimber does not mention a dielectric constant on their website pages
for these 3 cables; only inductance, capacitance, and loop resistance
are mentioned.
When the only differences I can find between these 3 cables are (1)
insulation type (1 uses teflon, 2 uses polyeth.), (2) insulation color,
and (3) cost per foot, the only thing I can conclude is that teflon
insulation makes one hell of a difference, as 8TC sells for about 17.25
per foot 8pr sells for 6.00 per foot, and 8vs sells for 9.30 per foot on
partsconnexion.com
There may well be other differences in the cables that justify the price
differential, but Kimber is not saying what they are.
I did email Kimber asking about the differences but have yet to hear
back from them. I shall report what if anything they have to say.
