I recall that decades ago Monster Cable supplied crimping kits for their exotic cables. A dealer that I trusted told me that with the tools supplied the connector/wire connection was essentially oxygen free. Knowing that solder is not a wonderful electrical conductor if enough pressure can be applied crimping seems like the way to go.

Anyone else know anything about this approach?
