I think the performance pf TOSLINK is vastly more dependent on the quality of the optical transmitter and receiver modules. There are a few good ones and a zillion cheap rotten-sounding versions. That said, I use Lifatec with great results between my disc player and my DAC. It's a fine cable, beautifully made by people who really give a damn.
