In AQ's description of this cable, they emphasize first the fact that this cable is easy to pull. Their words, not mine. This product is intended to fill a growing market niche in which AQ wasn't competitive; this was not a sonic development. As an afterthought, they offer up some blather about their unique strand bundling. Excellent ad copy, but in my opinion, stranded speaker cable is still a compromise.
Has this cheaper cable supplanted Type 4? No. I wonder why.
Thanks for the informative suggestion, but I am not interested in trying a compromised-by-design cable, no matter how cheap it is. I've got plenty of other projects waiting, and going backward is not my idea of adventure.
