I've made a few cords and would recommend a VH Audio Flavor 2 with Cardas 3445R and 3455R ends. Never used one on a subwoofer but the sound of this cord is fast and impactful. When used as a feeder for a power strip it ramps up the boogie factor and stays neutral. The Cardas ends are very easy to work with and seem tailor made for a configuration like the Flavor 2.
