I have used the Xhadow XLR plugs and compared them to just about everything available. They do make improvements over lesser priced plugs in the usual areas. Detail is better defined separation of instruments improved and overall more refined sound. That said, it seems the differences in XLR plugs is not as much as the differences in RCA plugs. The RCA plug used can often make or break an interconnect not so much in an XLR plug. However if you system is tuned sufficiently the XHadow plugs can be a nice but minimal improvement.
