I've acquired a few different Monster Cable IC's over the years. Some I bought when I didn't know any better and the rest are basically freebies thrown in with a piece of gear I bought. They make a lot of claims of advanced wiring, but only say their RCA plugs are 24kt gold plated. Nothing mentioned about the base metal or anything else for that matter. I wonder if installing hi-end RCA plugs on any of these IC's would make a difference in the sound? Getting rid of those "grip-of-death" plugs would certainly be a benefit.
Any thoughts?
