If you want to increase the resolution, use thin guage-solid core wire such as the magnet wire available at Radioshack. For about $9 you get three spools of wire, 22ga, 26ga & 30ga. There is enough of the 22-guage for 10ft of wiring per speaker. Contrary to everything you've been taught, this does work. I've done it with MMG's and MG2.5's with amps of 200 to 400 watts per channel. Many inmates over at the Planar Asylum have tried this and like it. We call it the Magwire Challenge. It'll cost you all of $9 + tax to try it.
