that he shouldn't have to worry about his 12+ year old pair of Cogen Hall speaker cables "shorting out" and destroying his tube amp. He was reading a long review which turned into a longer thread (which he now can't find) that stated that someone that owned a pair of these CH speaker cables destroyed their amplifier due to the cables shorting out internally. I told my friend that the destroyed amp was probably Solid State and not tube, and that he was probably safe. Did I give him some bad advise? His tube amp is a custom, parallel single-ended EL-34 from Art Audio , not sure if it was ever a standard production unit. Thank you, wpod
