I second Bambi B's recommendation for an isolation power conditioner. A balanced power conditioner would probably be even better.

I recently bought a PowerVar model ABC1200-11, 12 amp conditioner from the Audiogon seller www.powervar.homemod.org who sells them for $279 (or $259 "B stock"). It made a huge improvement in clarity, soundstage and overall transparency. The improvement in bass is immediately noticeable. It takes the bass deeper and makes it more tuneful.
