Brett,
Let me see if I can help since I have NRG-2's driving my preamp and amp.
The AQ NRG-2 is a 3x14awg wire (aggregate) which is more than sufficient to drive my 2 x 35W output Cayin TA-30 amp. Now the output specs on the Shanling A3000 is 2×200W RMS/ 8Ω or 2 x 320W RMS / 4Ω.
So I would recommend experimenting with a larger guage cord for your amp and leave the NRG-2 on your CDP.
The NRG-2 is suitable for analog and digital components. But I believe the RF stoppers on the NRG-2 are mainly intended for digital components. I have them removed since they seemed to create a slight edgyness on my analog gear.
