I have been using the Yardmaster cables for several years now, and am the culprit who put local friend Jeff Day onto them. I was shopping for Christmas lights when I first spotted these in WallMart and thought the white jacket was much nicer to look at than HD orange. These cables subsequently transformed my system (Cain & Cain Ben speakers and my home designed and built 845 Guilty Pleasure amp). My cable runs are about 35 feet per side, so speaker cables are very important in this system. I tried for several years to get comrades Jeff, Stephaen, and the late and beloved Terry Cain to give these a try. No luck. A few months back Stephaen was experiencing some boredom and tried them in his system. Epiphany! Then on to Jeff. The Yardmaster cables sound best to me with two wires in parallel as the ground conductor (I arbitrarily use green and white) and black as the hot conductor. I do not know how the HD14 cables tend to get wired. Can anyone advise on this?
