RE: Thanks for the review...

Hello Robert.

Nicely informative and well put review. Thank you! and I'm glad the Alethias! has become a part of what's done in your system. It's gratifying to us when our cables are at home with such fine ancillary.

Regarding some of the tweaks mentioned here...

Geoff Kait's Codename Turquoise is indeed the real deal. I was a little disappointed with the packaging presentation when I received mine and didn't expect much but once installed it absolutely transformed our GNS modified Opus 21 player. I also use this tweak on our CD Duplicator to good effect. Great product! Thanks Geoff! BTW, upon opening the package, don't let the appearance fool you. After some (very) lengthy investigation, there's quite a bit that goes into this product and it's fairly complicated and expensive to produce - more than meets the eye here for sure.

After my experience with the Quicksilver Gold, I had to try the Liquid Resolution. Robert, you and Paul - well maybe just Paul - pestered me for almost a year to try the QG. I should have made it a higher priority and tried it sooner. If you've already got the LR on hand...Use It! It's great stuff and I don't think it's stretch to say it's benefits are equivalent to the CT and QG. You're in for another treat.

You've summed up the QG very nicely. I've used all the other popular pastes and the QG is in another league. At RSAD, we were impressed enough by this stuff that, as you mentioned, we incorporate it internally and externally into our products where appropriate and we also sell the kits. I recently finished applying the QG on every single electrical connection relating to our music system. From the service box breakers for our dedicated AC lines all the way through all the internal connections of all our gear. This stuff's benefits are cumulative. WOW! is a nice summation.

Another tweak I think is worth a big mention is the new Herbie's Black Hole CD mats. I preferred the Marigo Labs 3-D Signature mat over the Herbie's 2007 Grungebuster (discontinued) on our Marantz player but on the Opus player the Black Hole is the ticket. Noticeably quieter and smoother but without affecting the immediacy and vibrancy of the music. Better focus, rendition of space is more tangible and bass is a bit more tuneful too. And, for the price of these things, you could almost buy them all day long and still afford our Alethias! S/Cs! ;)

Speaking of the Alethias!, we're very pleased our efforts have actually exceeded our expectations. It's gratifying to have what I consider such keen ears and a well heeled system to affirm our own experience. I like when that happens.

Thank you again Robert.

Kindly
Robert
