cables. I have done this on 2 different systems and even though the combination may seem unusual, to my ears sounded better. The best set up I had used 2 types of copper cable. AP crystal oval 8 on the bottom & Jena labs Symphony on top. This replaced an all oval 8 set up but there was a definate improvement on the high end; a touch more detail and slightly smoother and extended. I really liked the oval 8 but if I had the $ I would have gone to all Jena and possible a bigger Jena on the bottom. From my experience, at least w/ VSA VR4JR speakers, you have the right idea.
