A single strand of 22awg silver is good for signal and 2-4 are good for power. I suggest you push each strand thru a 2mm cotton sleeve (such as sold by Reference Audio Mods). If multiple strands are desired, put each in a separate cotton sleeve and weave as many as desired into a loose litz braid. Alternatively for multiple strands you can push three or four wires through one 2mm sleeve if you first wrap the tips together with teflon tape to smooth passage. Afterwards remove the teflon wrap & apply a drop of Goop glue at each end of the cotton to prevent fraying.Dave
