Try the VH Audio Airsine. Priced between the Python and Taipan, I found it significantly better than either. More open, transparent and tonally accurate, with a larger soundstage and better dynamics.Chris can advise you as to connectors (they will make a difference with your system). In general rhodium plating is cooler, more forward and very resolving. Palladium and gold have a "line of spkr." presentation with a wider and deeper soundstage; the former is as resolving as rhodium, the latter is the warmest.
