Yes, I replaced a Nite 1 with an AirSine. The AirSine is much more transparent and open, more resolving, neutral and tonally balanced. The VD PCs I had (Nite 1, Power 1, Power 3) all emphasized the bass. I also have VH Audio Flavor 2s which I preferred to the Shunyata Taipan. They have a character similar to the AirSine but are not as transparent and resolving.
The AirSine and Flavor 1 and 2 are easy to work with (the Flavor 4 is very stiff): they are not anywhere near as stiff as the VD cords, if not as flexible as the Shunyata Black Mamba or Taipan or Alpha Helixes.
