That's odd. I just put a new pair of Au24s in my rig to my new VSM-MXs and all is well with less than 2 hours on them. I have a hard time believing that your AZs are having a negative effect. What does Bobby say? were your cables new? they are cryoed so, I'm told, they require longer burn in.
What happens when you disconnect the BAM? Is it in the tape loop or between cdp and your 383? can you do an A/B?
