This wire exhibits a deep, solid bass with clear midrange/vocals and really good high frequency definition. It also has a very low noise floor and good extension. Overall, it is very musical and really good at conveying spatial information after a rather lenghty (and sometimes frustrating) break-in. It is revealling enough to convey any changes--however slight--I do to my system. The highs can be somewhat etchy at times but cryo was good as smoothening and relaxing the presentation. In our tests, the Pure Note Epsilon was closer to the cryo'ed military wire than to the Ridge Street Audio flat silver conductor.
My friend who sold his Kimber 8TC reported that the military one had much better bass, clarity and high frequency definition than the 8TC.
Before you ask,
Wire spec is S8-12-2J
