I just upgraded my speakers to ProAc Resp. 2.5 and am now in need
of a speaker cable upgrade.Chain: Sony DVD S-7700-> MSB LinkDAC-> Parasound pre/power amps-> 2.5s
Now, the Parasounds are some 10 years old and are next in line for
replacement (after speaker wire). I want a neutral speaker wire.A lot of people have recommended Transparent Audio's MusicWave Plus
or MusicWave BiWire. I've never listened to them because I'm not sure
I like the idea of electronics in the cable (there's enough electronics elsewhere). Maybe my fears are unfounded...
Also, I'm not sure what I prefer between better single cables or
"not as good" but biwired. Any opinions?Any recommendations? My budget is aroung <$650.
There's a little other problem as well. I'm on a business trip
in the US (Silicon Valey) and american made cabling is much much
cheaper here than in Europe, which is why I want to take the
opportunity. The problem, obviously, is that I cannot test them
before buying...which means that I need to TRUST YOU GUYS HERE! he heI read somewhere that AudioResearch uses ProAcs in their labs.
The review/article I read also mentioned whic speaker cables they
used, but I can't find the article anymore and I can't remember
which it was.Thanxs in advance.
