I am considering gettin a pair of mapleshade speaker cables, but the problem is that they will be in an area that will have some traffic, and I cannot have them elevated. In fact, my wife insists that she wants the cable taped to the ground. Mapleshade wires have very thin insulation. So to protect the insulation and to keep them away from the tape I thought of wrapping them in cotton or teflon tape. Does this seem like a good idea? Is cotton a good dialectric? Thanks in advance.
