Wow, you are the first person I have heard with that particular complaint regarding the 1SC. Having lived with a dizzying array of speakers, the 1SCs rank at or near the top in this regard IMHO. One question - your post makes it sound like you had some sort of epiphany regarding the HF of the 1SCs - did you like them at first and all of a sudden changed your mind or did you always have reservations and the speakers never overcame them (after break-in)?
