Well, I've only had them for a few days (been burning them in nonstop since I got them), but like I mentioned previously, with the JPS Labs cable, the speakers seem to have opened up - that is, the music seems less tied to the speakers, rather it seems to "float" more freely than with the AZ (you'll excuse my ineptitude with the audiphile lingo) and the images are more 3-dimensional. Also, I think the high frequency is actually smoother with these cables, without loss of detail. By "downgrade" I was referring to the change from higher to lower priced cables - the quotes were intended to convey irony as the change resulted in subjectively improved (somewhat surprisingly) sound quality
