I have hade remarkable results with the moderatly priced Harmonic Technologies AC II. I never thought a six foot power cord could effect the sound quality that much. Someone gave me an explaination that made perfect sense..... even though the AC has traveled through hundreds of miles of power lines, all the noise and garbage that it picked up all the way, a High-End system is a hostile enviroment for what basiclly becomes an antenna directly into you components power supply. Even if you are using a killer AC filter that last six feet must be able to reject a huge amount of EMI & RFI generated by your system. Happy listening
