You can get molded 14 awg shielded cables for like 14-15 bucks. Worthwhile, and if you like it, you can keep listening to more and more expensive cables (which aren't necessarily better) and convince yourself that every penny counts ;-) But seriously, a well designed cord can really do some special things for your stereo. I'd start with a molded one, or the Asylum cord, and keep searching until you find a good system match. I feel that system matching with power cords is THE most important part of them beyond a certain point (good construction/connectors, reasonable size, and noise rejection should all be universal to decent cordage.) Beyond that, you choose your coloration to match your system. There is no such thing as a *truly* neutral cord of any type.
